DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Masonic Con Ontario Masonic Con (also called Masonicon by some) is a relaxed\, Masonic conference where Masons and friends\, regards of years in the craft\, unite for a day of immersive and enjoyable ssesions with Ontario & United States Masonic scholars for some top-tier Masonic Education. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nMasonic Con  – some facts\nYou may have heard the term”Masonic Con” or “Masonicon” and wondered what it was and what they are about. \nThey are not just meetings; they’re opportunities to learn about the history\, symbols and philosophy of masonry.  At the same time\, they bring masons closer together and reinforcing their sense of brotherhood. \nSo what is a Masonic Con \nIt’s a immersive experience where masonic enthusiasts find themselves in the company of renowned names from all corners of the Masonic world. Imagine a day filled with back to back lectures\, each delivered by a luminary in the field\, creating an experience of Masonic education that is both enriching and thrilling. \nWht Attend our Masonic Con  \nThis year’s conference is being held at the Rock Garden location of the Royal Botanical Garden\, in the sun-filled atrium and gives participants day-long access to the grounds and the famous “mindfulness walk”. \nWhat better way to centre the mind to prepare for a day of Masonic education and enlightenment! We’ll explore the concept of taking men from “rude matter into fine form” by: learning about ego and man’s personality; presenting scholarly work in a Lodge discussing philosophy; and then using a new book authored by local Masonic scholar to promote discussion and debate in our lodges on key and sometimes congtroversial topics. \nLater\, we will enjoy a Panel discussion of Ontario’s three Observant Lodges\, and facilitated by the Grand Master of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Canada in the Province of Ontario. \nFollowing lunch\, we will Explore how Lodges can improve Masons’ experience of wonder\, enlightenment and awe through: establishing a chamber of reflection to prepare our candidates before Initiation; using music for meditation and learning about sacred mathematics in music; and how the banquet room can be transformed into a sacred space by simply changing the layout. \nTo complete our day’s journey we will enjoy a Keynote Speaker who will bring our day’s sessions together with an engaging presentation about Transformation and Enlightenment in the Masonic experience.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrequently Asked Questions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCan an EA attend this event?\n\nYes\, this event is open to all Masons \n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is the theme of this event?\n\nEnlightenment in Masonry  – Scholars from Ontario\, Pennsylvania and North Carolina \n\n\n\n\n\nIs this the first Masonic Con in Ontario?\n\nYes  – however we have had a Day of Masonry across the Province in the past \n\n\n\n\n\nWill there be a remote access for this event?\n\nThis is being considered.
