Considerations for Visiting Lodges, around the Corner or around the World
“As Freemasons we belong to one of the greatest fraternities and institutions that ever existed. It affords us many rights and privileges, and one of the privileges is the ability to visit other lodges. It is such a long standing tradition in the Craft that even Albert Mackay mentions masonic visitation in his fourteenth Landmark. Although most of us visit lodges in our own Districts few have had the opportunity to visit other Jurisdictions either home or abroad. As we are ambassadors of Masonry from our own Jurisdictions when we travel we must prepare ourselves for these visits and follow established protocols. This 25 minute presentation simply reminds us of what needs to be done or considered before we pass through the pillars of other lodges. Visiting lodges either around the corner or around the world has created life long friendships and proven time and time again that we are all brothers no matter where we dawn our aprons.”VW Bro Garry Perkins FCF
